Disable simulCast on jitsi meet app running on smart glasses

Hi, I would like to disable simulcast on jitsi meet android app, that runs on smart glasses, due to a not powerful hardware.
I did a lot optimizations, including hiding of the remote thumnails, hardcoding max resolution, now I would like to reduce the three video stream to only one, to save cpu and bandwidth.

I found this function in …\node_modules\lib-jitsi-meet\modules\browser\BrowserCapabilities.js
supportsSimulcast() {
return this.isChromiumBased() || this.isFirefox()
|| this.isSafariWithVP8() || this.isReactNative();
}
Modifying it in this
supportsSimulcast() {
return this.isChromiumBased() || this.isFirefox()
|| this.isSafariWithVP8();
}
that is equivalent to a “return false”, seems that I have achieved my goal, because both when the smart glass is on stage and when it is reduced to a thumbnail (with at least 3 partecipants), Chrome is receiving a video stream with the same high resolution (limited to 720 x 480).
Do you think is a good and safe solution, or can I do better?
Many thanks for you attention,
Stefano
