Default apt install jitsi-meet does not include http redirect

#1

Hi,

I have done a couple of installs all on different versions of ubuntu server and there is never a built in redirect to https. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to redirect http to https where the default install resides?

I’m sure I could probably use apache or nginx to do this, but if it is able to work right out of the box at https without either installed on my server I am not really understanding why I would need either.

Thanks for your help.

Currently you have no https redirection with the default install on Jetty. You can install nginx or apache prior to the jitsi-meet installation and then the platform will not use Jetty and you will have redirects.
