Debian package installation - Secure Domain instructions not working

Hi All,

I have just installed to a clean Debian 10 VM, following the instructions provided in the Self-Hosting Guide. It all works perfectly.

I then went to enable the secure domains functionality, but I notice two things:

  1. For the Jicofo config, the file is at /etc/jitsi/videobridge/sip-communicator.properties not /etc/jitsi/jicofo/sip-communicator.properties
  2. I am not prompted for user/pass when accessing the jitsi url.

I notice that I am the only one with this issue, but I have followed the instructions. Either I have misunderstood the functionality or something isn’t working properly on my instance. Can anyone help me debug this issue?

Cheers and thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum.

This is indeed the right file. There’s another sip-communicator.properties under videobridge as you noted, but that’s not the file you need to edit in this case. Make the jicofo edit as instructed and that will fix the issue you’re having.
