Contact specific user using Jitsi?

Hello,
I’m a newbi searching for a Skype replacement.

How do I contact (“ring”) a specific user using Jitsi?

I’ve found references to jitsi having a ring capability:

But I can’t find how to contact (“ring”) a user using “meet.jit.si”.

I’d a appreciate any pointers.

There is no rining. You enter a meeting and send the other party the link to join you.
