Connection Errors

Hi there,

I am working on a video conference project that uses lib-jitsi-meet to create a custom UI while using Jitsi meet’s services. During this process, I discovered that I needed to also self-host as opposed to using Jitsi’s services at a cost. I have deployed Jitsi on AWS ECS using Docker (following this tutorial with a few small changes: Getting started with Jitsi, an open source web conferencing solution | AWS Open Source Blog) , and can successfully start video calls using Jitsi’s UI when directly accessing our AWS server via my domain name.

However, when trying to connect via my application and the setup indicated by lib-jitsi-meet (lib-jitsi-meet/example.js at master · jitsi/lib-jitsi-meet · GitHub), I get the following errors:

Access to XMLHttpRequest at ‘hhttps://www.XXXX.XXXXXX.com/http-bind/’ from origin ‘hhttp://localhost:3000’ has been blocked by CORS policy: Response to preflight request doesn’t pass access control check: It does not have HTTP ok status. (Note: I added the extra h to break the hyperlinks)

In my application, I connected to my Jitsi Meet instance the same way as in the lib-jitsi-meet repository, but with my domain name instead of ‘/jitsi-meet.example.com’.

I am unsure what is now still missing in my configuration in order to allow connections in this manner. Please advise!

Thank you!
