Configuration including subdirectory paths

We are testing using jitsi-meet on a local server. Which works fine when go to domainname.com/onetwothreefour but unlike meet.jit.si if we do domainname.com/user1/onetwothreefour we get a 404 error.

Is there something missing in our Nginx config? We installed using the config example from the manual install doc.

What are you trying to achieve here (i.e. why does having that interstitial part of the URL matter)?

It sounds like you need to use a location {} rule in your nginx config, so that requests with that element in the URL are handled correctly. I can’t give you an example to modify, I’m afraid, as I don’t have it in my config (meet.example.com/$roomname).

Thanks for reply.
I have an nginx config based on the example for manual install:

But it does not mimic the meet.jit.si behavior. Be it / or - in path like with the example of using UUID as room names.
