[Bulk] [sip-comm] Running the old version of sip communicator

#1

Hi,

I'm trying out the older version of the sip communicator from the java.net site. It seems to start up OK, but does not want to make a phone call via our Asterisk PBX. The PBX reports 'applications/sdp' received, not 'application/sdp'. The phone number I am trying to dial is

sip:901@192.168.1.23:5070

901 is an extension on our PBX.

The sip communicator displays the error:

SIP/2.0 488 Not acceptable here
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 192.168.1.7:5060;branch=z9hG4bK1f0ab34d271e4516ba5aba16892f5249

Also, is it possible to get the source code for the older version of the sip communicator, or is it the same as the new cvs version on www.sip-communicator.org ?

Thanks for all your help,

Regards,

Alex

Hello Alex,

Yes the source code for pre1.0 is available here
http://www.sip-communicator.org/download/nightly-builds/latest/sip-communicator-src.zip

it is also in the cvs repository for the sip-communicator project at java.net

(source code for 1.0 is in the sip-communicator-1-0-draft project)

Hope this helps
Emil
