Auto login to iFrame or API to use?

Hello - new to jitsi and just getting started. Can anyone point me in the direction of the API call or function to auto login someone tot he meeting from our master app ? We have a web application and want to move people into the meeting (jitsi) without asking their name or email…just auto login them in.

Use jwt

@joejitsi Welcome to the forum.

You can do this by disabling the pre-join screen page. Just set the flag to “false” in your config.js

prejoinPageEnabled: false,

By default there is no login required, unless you enabled authentication in your Prosody config (/etc/prosody/conf.avail/[your-hostname].cfg.lua)

Otherwise, set both prejoinPageEnabled and requireDisplayName to false in your iFrame config:

const options = {
    configOverwrite: { requireDisplayName: false, prejoinPageEnabled: false}
const api = new JitsiMeetExternalAPI(domain, options);

Btw… If you did enable authentication then @kkd is right. Use jwt… You can define the tokenAuthUrl option in your config.js. That url will be called while joining automatically. The token service (that you need to deploy yourself) should redirect the user back to the meeting page with ?jwt=.... in the url.
