[Authentication Failed] - Jitsi Meet Token Authentication Problem

If you can give me an hour or so sure!

any update on this thread ?

I don’t know why anyone isn’t answering this thread, I also created this same on github issues. @damencho

The documentation for jitsi authentication is notably bad. It’s probably the biggest thing holding back adoption.

I am shifting to BigBlueButton.org for live collaboration. i was thinking to join jitsi with my own whiteboard system. But i’ve to shift now.

I created the following doc to install Jitsi Meet (with new JVB2) and Jitsi meet tokens in ubuntu 18.04, it’s working perfectly

I’m getting the same message in my prosody log:
“Error verifying token err:not-allowed, reason:token required”

Ubuntu 20 on digital ocean. I followed all instructions from

I am trying to pass the JWT from the iframe API. Maybe that’s the issue?
I don’t understand why it is asking for a username and password when my setup is for JWT authentication. How would I go about disabling that?

Hi, i successfully installed this after 4 months, documentation really sucks!!!

Jitsi will always ask for username password if any kind of auth is implemented, in case of JWT tokens it’ll again ask for Password / username if JWT is wrong or its setup is not proper.

You can follow this documentation from start to bottom and i am sure this will work for you.
