I’d like to inform if you encountered similar issues as we did. We were testing new Jitsi configuration. We have a Jitsi and JVB separated. We did a larger test call (20 users) we encountered an issue when some users would hear only subset of users and others not. Video seemed to be okay and only audio was having issues. Do any of you you have any idea about what could caused this and maybe how to reconfigure it ?
Yes, we upgraded the jitsi yesterday to latest version and today a meeting with 7 participants, many people were facing audio issues
- Some participants can’t be heard by anyone
- Some participants had additional noise in their audio
- Some participants faced more lags in their video and audio. Specially bad/breaking audio
S1 Ubuntu 18.04.3 (LTS) x64
Jitsi meet is cloned from master (23.march)
S2 Ubuntu 20.04 (LTS) x64
This does not match the version you use for the backend, it is not recommended to do such combinations.
You either use the matching jitsi-meet or also update and backend (jicofo and jvb).
Okay thank you, did not know that there are like compatible versions and setups. So what version of jitsi-meet woud be correct with our BE setup ?
You can check for example Index of /stable/ and use matching dates … But what I see you are using jitsi-meet_2.0.5390-3, on all major repos you can check release stable/jitsi-meet_5390 for example Release 2.0.5390 · jitsi/jitsi-meet · GitHub.
