Anti VPN for Jitsi

Hello Jitsi Community!

I am using own Jitsi server with kiwiirc and the conference is set to public without password as it is integrated with public chat room.

And recently I got some random floods on my jitsi server, someone joining with a lot of nicknames and leaving (Join/Part) flooding. Someone was clonning all over the room.

I doubt a lot of VPN IPs, is there anti VPN for Jitsi?

Is there a possible solution for this?

Thank you!

You can check mod_limits – Prosody IM

Thanks for the response damencho.

I will try it and let you know.

damencho, I don’t think if it is working. I tried loading the scripts but bots are still joining and quiting;

Component “conference.(domain)” “muc”
storage = “memory”
modules_enabled = {
“muc_meeting_id”;
“muc_domain_mapper”;
“limits”;
“token_verification”;
}

Can you please tell me how do I load it in Jitis or make it work?

I need it to control flood joins where bots join and quit.

Is there something that can ban proxies or VPN because it is being used for flood and abuses.
If it could be pulled off by services like ip-api.com

Thank you!

You need to load it in the general section of prosody config in /etc/prosody/prosody.cfg.lua
