Add individual container with buttons / icons to toolbar

Hi,

I just read, that it isn’t possible to add individual buttons to the toolbar. It is only possible to show / hide existing or preconfigured buttons.

My questions:

  1. is it possible to style the existing toolbar container via css
  2. is it possible to append or prepend an individual container with individual buttons / icons to the existing toolbar container? These individual buttons should trigger external functions that have nothing to do with Jitsi. But in case of a unique look, we would like to place these buttons in the same area where all the other buttons are.
